VENTING SYSTEMS
The ultra-low power use was engineered for applications when power consumption is a consideration or a concern. These units are ideal for cooling sensitive electronic equipment and batteries in the telecommunication and industrial sectors.
Typical applications include:
- Extending the operating cycle of the DC Comm-Cool units
- As a supplement to AC or DC powered air conditioning to extract hot air from equipment or battery enclosures/cabinets
- Provide venting and some cooling in the event of the failure of an AC-powered air conditioner, to extend the operating uptime of electronic equipment or batteries
- Venting for personal comfort in confined spaces
- Venting for renewable and alternative energy powered applications
Two models are available - the DC Airflow-WV
designed to fit into a typical telecommunications shelter waveguide
port, and the DC
Airflow-MV designed for higher cfm and to
minimize intrusion into a structure.
The DC Airflow WV is available in sizes producing 250, 500 or 1000 cfm.
Base Model
- 250, 500 or 1000 cfm (nominal) fan – brushless with ball bearings, 50,000 hours, dye-cast aluminium housing

The DC Airflow-MV is comprised of a vent blower assembly which has a minimum airflow of 1700 cfm, and a motorized louver assembly.
The vent blower assembly is installed essentially flush with the inside wall of the enclosure. Typically the motorized louver assembly is installed near the floor with a minimal projection into the enclosure.
